    S40 E-wheel options????

I highly recommend Grin products. They're high quality in a market area filled with low quality garbage. I have bought batteries, a charger, a geared hub motor, motor controller, and computer from them. All have worked flawlessly. Plus their customer support is good, a rare feature.

SOLD - Cruzbike Q45 custom electric build

@Rishi@Cruzbike , A few questions: Since hub motors operation speed is just proportional to road speed, it seems that they have a fixed efficient speed range. This contrasts with mid-drive motors that have a fixed efficient cadence range. I like the cadence range because then I can set up my...

SOLD - Cruzbike Q45 custom electric build

Could you share any lessons you learned from this build? what are you hoping to change or do you differently for your next build? I have a mid-drive pedelec system on my velomobile. I like the mid-drive because I can keep it at an efficient motor speed for broad range of vehicle speeds. My...

    Building a Cruz Clone

I did a bit of googling and it seems the Nuvinci is quite a bit less efficient than other gear systems: https://blog.lazy-evaluation.net/posts/cycling/cycling-gear-hubs.html Just something to be aware of.

Police report error after motor vehicle collision

@LarryOz, your account is a bit confusing. Which lane where you in? What role did the T intersection play? Where was the truck? Every police officer I've ever dealt with has blamed me. I hear you. I've spoken to two lawyers and neither would take my case as long as the police report stands...

Police report error after motor vehicle collision

Cyclists, The police report for a recent collision says I caused the collision and the motorist's insurance agents are acting accordingly. Does anyone have experience with something like this? I can't get lawyer representation as long as the police report stands. I've sent a letter to the...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I also had my brake levers pointed up with my bullhorn setup. I think levers pointed up gives your stronger fingers more leverage.

I faired well given the circumstances of the collision but I'm out of energy and motivation. This cycle of rebuilding bike and body over and over is killing me. I'm going to take a break from the roads.

Yea, and the carbon chainstays as well. Dan, the California Cruzbike dealer, couldn't find any signs of damage on them but it's better to play it safe with carbon. He gave the bike a thorough investigation and it's at his bike shop. I'm sure he can answer any questions you have about condition.

    Bar-end Shifters on a Silvio

I had bar end shifters on my S30 using bullhorn bars. The bend at the end was too obtuse; the grip was too horizontal. It was always uncomfortable and, more importantly, made for a weak connection between me and the handlebars. I highly recommend prioritizing a near vertical hand grip section. I...
