It does for me. I am a lightweight. I have used the same one for several years.

I use that headrest. I do mod it a little. I cut down the size of the headrest plastic piece and change out the cushioning. It works for me.

I have a compact 50/34 chainring paired with a 11-36. My upright friends ride the same setup. I can ride up the same hills that they do. I am getting older so I am considering switching to a 46/30 in a few years. Good luck.

That is a nice looking adapter. Are you planning on selling the adapter? It is a nicer look than the Cruzbike piece around the headrest tubes.
