16" wheel conversion (f-frame moulton)

A bit of a long learning curve with this bike. Managed to not crash on the maiden voyage, but had a few episodes of suddenly ending up across the road facing the opposite kerb! Fine if there is no traffic, but.... After a few more tryouts, I was able to manage 4 or 5 miles ok on a cinder track (old railway path) without any drama, but I still feel ill at ease on a road with traffic. I reckon I need at least twice the wobble room as on a conventional bike. It is actually fine at really low speeds, but anything over about 10 mph gets very twitchy, especially when changing gear. Not dared take it over about 16-18. I suspect that riding this bike no hands is not going to be possible for me, after all, I couldn't manage it hands off before conversion. Still, it is so comfortable & easy to pedal I will keep going. A normal upright bike now feels decidedly odd! Do the big wheel conversions suffer this twitchiness at speed? Anyone with more experience of small wheelers?

Its just the learning curve relax as much as possible.I did a Downtube NS with 20in wheels and it was stable enough even on 30 mph downhill runs. The first few rides on any bent can be a handful. How about some pictures. JACK
