2020 V20 For Sale (UK) **SOLD**

A very reluctant sale of my 2020 V20 in the UK

I’ve also got a lovely Bacchetta CA3.0 listed but to date I’ve still got both… I was keen to sell the CA3.0 as SWMBO insists that one has to go (She doesn’t get the N+1 theory of bike ownership sadly) but if the V goes I’ll make do with the Bacchetta for now

I’m happy to listen to realistic offers but this is a bike in fantastic condition hence the price .. Any inspection welcome

Here is the eBay listing to save me adding the specs here:

I have owned an S40 since 2021, and I use it a lot. However, I am hungry for more speed. I do have a few questions:

1. You were also a previous owner of the £2000 black V20 ("Prince Philip edition") that went up for sale twice this year, and which I narrowly missed on two occasions. That model had one disc brake and one rim brake. The yellow V20 has two rim brakes. Is there a specific reason for this?

2. I have never used Shimano's Dura Ace groupset. I notice some levers at the end of the handle bars. Are those for changing gears? Does that mean that you need to move your hands to switch from the brakes to the gears?

My current bike has rim brakes, I like the simplicity of them and from my experience they are efficient… If I did more hills then I might upgrade to hydraulic discs and the bike is already prepared for them… I did own the black V20 which came with the front disc setup in place.. when I built the yellow V I went for the simple rim brake setup as it’s pretty bullet proof and super easy to maintain.

Yes I have Dura Ace bar end shifters, I had this type of shifter on a previous Bacchetta Ti Aero and I liked it… you can change gear very easily but yes you would need to move your hands from the brake hoods to do this.. I ride in one of two positions.. on the brake hoods but predominantly on the lower bars where the bar end shifters are where I can easily apply the brakes too..

The bike would be easily converted to dual brake lever / shifters or electronic shifting.. the options are pretty endless.. Dura Ace was the one of the best groupsets I could buy components for without going down the electronic route and building the bike myself I wanted to keep it pretty simple.

The bike is in superb condition, by all means come and take a look if you are relatively local.

By the way, if you want fast then you should also consider the Bacchetta I’ve also got listed on eBay. I won’t post the link but you can find it in my “other items”

Thanks for the interest.

The Vendetta is now sold and heading to Warwickshire…

Ride safe… I’ll be back if I ever buy another CB
