2025 V20C Dream Build Video

Here's my first attempt at making a dream build video. Unfortunately, I don't have a second person to act as a cameraman, so everything had to be done on my own with a tripod, which really felt limiting and time-consuming. The assembly isn't in the ideal order, and I don't work in a bike shop, so I probably won't get many opportunities to practice these videos. When I started the project, I was envisioning a 10-minute video, but after editing over 150 separate video clips, it was clear that it was going to be way longer. I decided to leave out some duplicate things and only include half, like the front only or rear only, in some instances.

If you want to offer advice or criticism, just understand it'll likely be several years before I build another bike and have another opportunity. I'll likely end up making a new PC build video before I do another dream build video. As it is, I had to upgrade my RX5700XT GPU to a RTX5070Ti just to be about to run the current 8k video editing software. As a side bonus, I'll be able to play my old games at 2000 FPS on my 240FPS monitor

Just finished watching the whole video - really nicely done! Truly amazing camera work considering you were doing it all yourself. You never missed an important detail and always had an angle that allowed the viewer to see what was going on. That must have taken a huge amount of time to arrange.

Oh, and your workshop is far too neat! Mine looks like an explosion in a bike shop :-(

There were several instances of me having to do things twice because either the camera angle was shit or stumbled halfway through some of the Cruzbike unique processes because I was discovering as I went. In my opinion my garage is far from ideal appearance wise, but for as much as I have in there, covering multiple genres outside of cycling, it could be way worse. I considered filming the assembly inside a completely empty room to avoid any undesirable easter eggs in the background, but I felt like that would look too sterile.

It would be cool to do this again with more effort, time and an extra set of hands. I like how some of the others have cool intros of the builder walking into the shop. I thought it would be cool and unique to me to have a clip of me in the canyon on the motorcycle, cut to me pulling into the driveway and taking off my helmet as I walk up to the project. I felt that level of effort didn't match the solo effort I already put into it, so I didn't bother. If Cruzbike feel the desire to make something higher quality in the future I'd be willing to be part of it.

The raw footage was nearly 300Gigs of 8k video from my S25Ultra phone which is why I had to upgrade my computer just to edit it.

Thanks for the video. After trying to do several myself I now know how difficult it really is. It truly is an art to record and assemble everything in a digestible and entertaining way, but you also have to have the gear and the editing capability. I am not even going to get into the time aspect of it. Youtubers and IGers definitely have a crew to do all of that so for a single person... absolutely bonkers. Good job braddah!
