2nd Gen Cruzbike Race Case on an S40

Installing the race case necessitated the removal of two of my flag holders.
No complaints about the new race case but the one hole for sticking in a flag is too small and too shallow for the Purple Sky brand flags from Terra~Cycle which I had on there.
I was going to enlargen the hole with a drill bit. I was also going to drill for mounting a 2nd flag. After disassembling the case, I’m re-evaluating that idea. I want these flags as high as possible and I don’t believe the plastic is suitable for holding two of them at the tail end of the case.
I’m considering other ideas and will leave that one flag hole alone, now.
I’m thinking that a more rugged holder secured inside the top, behind the front two corners, between the head rest and the first bottle-holder hole, would be a better place.
That or return to mounting them back on the frame, working around the race case’s placement.
The current flag holders are 1.5 inches deep and made of a non-ferrous metal, probably aluminum. Drilling-out the plastic walls of the inside holder would probably leave them too thin and brittle. The drill would also likely go through the outside of the case in trying to get enough depth.

I used them to replace the ones missing on my replacement chain stay, only a bit different from the original.

I got one or two of everything, except the Vendetta ones, because I don’t yet own a V20, directly from the Cruzbike website. Both black and white versions are reflective.
The Cruzbike examples in these pictures do not look as bright here because they’re under an additional layer of plastic. This allows placing the logo as if it’s all one sticker, but then peel off the top layer, leaving the letters properly spaced. Once the peel is off, they’re just as bright as the Rydesafe and Lightweights.

They’re just hard plastic tubes with a slit up the side, snaps over the spoke, covered in a reflective adhesive tape.
As they wear out, I might peel the old tape off and apply leftover Rydesafe stickers.
