650 wheels on Freerider?

I have an opportunity of getting a pair of used Velocity A23 650 wheels, I was thinking of putting Compass Babyshoe Pass 650x42 tires on them.

The question is, will they fit on the Freerider?

700cc x 25 fit on my 2008 Sofrider.

I say buy the wheels, and figure out the max tire width and brakes.
