Well, the FedEx website says my Sofrider V3 is on the truck, out for delivery. Can't wait to get it and start the assembly. Thanks to the CruzBike team for getting the order out in such a timely manner. I've been looking at recumbents for over a decade but just never would pull the trigger and purchase one. To me, the CruzBike design just appears much more sensibe than other designs. I just never liked the look of those long drive chains on the traditional recumbents. I'm no engineer, but that just seems like an efficiency drain. So, I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum. It's always good to not have to re-invent the wheel (no pun intended.........ok maybe intended a little) when embarking on a new interest. Have a great day everyone. I'll post some pics when I get my new bike assembled.

Congratulations!

There's nothing like a new bike, and definitely nothing like riding a Cruzbike. You're going to love the Sofrider and please do post pics!

Help.....

What size is the headtube bearing set on the new Sofrider ? Last night while assembling my bike, I zigged when I should have zagged and loosened the wrong bolt. Out came the headtube bearing. I finally figured out how all the components stacked back up, but when I was tightening the bolt on the top clamp (the one that says Diatec on it) the bolt broke, leaving the shaft in the bracket. I guess I can just buy the top clamp? Just need to know what size it is so I can tell the local bike shop what I need. Maybe the size is universal on most bikes now, but I don't know and I couldn't find the size listed in the literature that came with the bike. Any help will be much appreciated. (P.S. If you happen to have a link to an exploded view of this bearing, I sure would like to get a look at it. My google search for it yielded nothing.) Thanks everyone.

Dude
No help here but

My friend did basically the same thing when he assembled my Sofrider a few years ago, although we were lucky enough to get it back together without breaking anything!

Headset exploded view

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this page has some exploded views of threadless headsets.

I know that feeling.

Just ordered my Sofrider. After three weeks of debating with myself. Now I have to find a home for my old 1997 Vision R40 SWB that I haven't ridden in forever.
