Any Interested In Reflective CruzBike Decals For Their Bike?

For those of us who race in the dark we are required to apply reflective tape all over our bikes for safely reasons and more often the not it looks like an after the fact back job just to meet the requirements. Those of us who ride at night for our commute or just for fun also benefit greatly from a little extra reflective visibility in the dark. Some of you may remember my polkadot reflective scheme for last years 24hr event if not I'll include a picture below. The idea behind the polkadot swaps to do something extraordinary to catch the attention of everyone at the race and it worked extremely well. This year I'm going for a more stealth clean look and letting our outright speed do the talking.

So I'm working on getting some CruzBike and Vendetta decals cut out of a reflective vinyl. If there's enough interest I can also cut some Silvio, Quest and Softride decals as well. The newest paintjob on the vendetta brings a bit more design to the frame but the older single color frames are super plain. I'm thinking these stickers can be made to fit on the seat and chain stays(by the rear wheel) and the two sets of fork legs up front.

Right now I'm only gearing up to make enough for just my bike but if others on here would like to get some for their bike as well speak up. I can ether cut more in the first run or you can wait to see what I do and we can do a second run.

As the Rojo Skunk works goes into overdrive consider this. For riders such as your self and Larry who spend a lot of time at 25 mph and over aero is the single most important aspect of gaining a performance boost. Yes, you have an aero bike, body position, wheels built for speed. How about little rounded boat booties on the bottom of the pedals/shoes? Seems cleaning up that flat surface at the very front of the bike would be huuuge.

Nothing matches that off red of the Vendetta. As much as I like those stickers they still look like applied stickers when used. What I'm going for is something to show off the CruzBike name that just happens to increase safely. You can apply those hidden black reflective stickers so it isn't noticed during the day or you can add a cool white Cruzbike decal that shows off the brand day or night.

I would like to know where to get the fiks material in bulk though because I do like the material

Bottom of high end road shoes are not only not very wide but also no very flat ether. The air is hitting a flat yet rounded surface and flowing over a rounded top of the shoe or onto your leg. Yes there's something to gain there if we made a air cone but I think it's not as much as you'd think. The trouble to make something like that would be a nightmare in my option. If I think of an easy way to pull it off I'll give it a try but you'd need Larry to test it in order to see how much gain there actually is because I don't test data, I only pedal hard.

This interesting. 1 pair for me.

Something to replace this would be awesome. upload_2016-9-1_12-43-11.png
The quest logo would be covered by the rider. Not as interesting.
How about the "Z" logo to replace the dots on the stays and triangle?

I think a repeating black/reflective "Z" logo along the visible edge of the V20's seat would be nice. Something that follows the taper of the edge, etc.
I'm not riding much in the evenings/night so I think that would be good enough for me. When I was doing a lot of night riding, I had reflective tape everywhere...

These work really well on the black and dark parks of the bike; during sunlight they vanish; hit them with light and they light up plenty good.

Ratz, do you have a picture of your applied reflectors? It may help people to visualize. The way Ratz and PB applied the stickers, in groups, looked great from what I saw. They show up as a reflective design rather than dots and were quite attractive and eye catching. What I liked about them is you didn't see them in the day light so they didn't detract from the design of the bike.

So I digress, couldn't Cruzbike just order the decals in reflective material for the next design?
I like your energy and enthusiasm, for now, I think I'll stick with the fiks stickers because I like the look of my Silvio, clean and white.

OH, but I might buy a Tribe reflective decal.... :D

Before making the switch to recumbent I had been thinking about swapping my Speedplay Zeros for the new Zero Aero pedal/cleat combo. Now it seems like the improved airflow would be even more. Pro level racers now consider minute details such as sock aerodynamics.
