Any numb feet issues on a Softrider?

Hello --
I'm considering a Sofrider because it seems to have all the characteristics I'm looking for in a recumbent. My only concern is the height of the bottom bracket relative to the seat. I ride a Lightning Stealth now, and my feet go numb after about an hour. Does anyone have similar issues on a Sofrider?

Thanks,
Albert

I get it occasionally. I do not think it is the height of the bottom bracket, but more the weight on my butt and my shoes. I should recline my seat more.

You seem to be implying that having one's feet higher than one's butt/backside causes numb feet on a recumbent. Surely this is far too simple an explanation?
Maybe someone with a better understanding of human anatomy than I, would care to comment? Doctor Jim perhaps? ;) :)

I wonder if you are clipped in to your pedals? If so, have you tried moving the cleats all of the way back towards the heel of your cycling shoes? That often helps with numb toes. If it is your whole foot that is going numb, could your feet be swelling inside too tight shoes and restricting blood flow?

I had the same problem on my mountain bike, then Scorpion Fx trike, then Silvio, all with mountain bike cleats.
The initial fix was wider bike shoes that allowed for my feet to swell after and one of riding. Some tingly would then start after 4 hrs.

The final fix was discussing the problem with a foot doctor, while getting ingrown big toes that I had HACKED at and infected.
Her solution was to move the cleat on the shoe down so NO force is felt by the toes when peddling.
You will need to adjust the crank length to keep the correct leg extension.
