Anybody using Trek WSD or a Schwinn female bike frame?

I have been reading through the forum and trying to decide if I want to go with the Sofrider V2 or buying a conversion kit and using a mixte frame. I don't have any weights for the Trek or Schwinns and was wondering if it would be possible to come in lighter than the 34 pound Sofrider. With a smaller frame and only a front suspension it seems possible. My other concern is that the extra money spent on the Sofrider seems to get you much better components. One big advantage to going the kit route is splitting the purchases up over time. I'm about to transfer back to CA and have been trying to save my money for the move.

Jim Parker just put an easy frame for sale at ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130302747967#ht_500wt_1073 maybe you can use that?
