Boom Slipping

The boom on my V20 continually slips down as I ride; that is the whole boom tube slips through the boom clamp slowly.
I have had a loose fit at the steering post clamp. That problem was that the clamp is a bit too large and will not clamp before it bottoms out. In that instance I used some .002" thick Kapton tape and built up the steerer tube OD diameter until the clamp could grip firmly. It is possible that the tube clamp split slider can be treated similarly. Kapton tape is a high quality tape that can stand a vacuum and temp ranges of +/- 200 deg F. The adhesive does not degrade over any reasonable period of time. It gives a good and durable grip interface to a clamp because the tape material is made from a high strength polymer.

I used locktite and it seems to be holding.
I just had to use low-hold loctite on my monoblock 11/34 cassette. It seems that this single-machined part is so stiff that most of the motion relative to the shaft makes its way to the shallow retainer nut constantly moving it ever so slightly. There was evidence of some minor thread galling even though I had lots of waterproof grease on the threads. I went ahead and cleaned most of the grease off (but not all because the thread is damaged) and did a compromise locking solution with a generous amount of blue loctite mixed with old grease. So far so good.
