My S40 (bought used) came with the stock seat and had bottle cages mounted on the seat reinforced with plastic blocks against the seat.
I find the extra bottle cages useful and don't particularly like carrying a hydration bladder or having bottles mounted on the headrest.
I've changed to a Thor seat (the Sport model in carbon if it matters) and would like to mount cages on it. Looking at the seat, the edge inside the support ribs is fairly thin but it might be possible to mount cages there with appropriate reinforcement. An alternative would be to drill through the support ribs and mount them there.
So with that preamble, has anyone mounted bottle cages to the Thor Sport seat? Pictures or other experience appreciated.
