After much research, I pulled the trigger on this frameset. Despite that, it turns out my neck and this frame geometry are not going to be a good fit. I hope my loss can be your gain. The frameset has never been out of my basement. It is in brand new condition. The only modification is I had the front end painted satin black instead of the flat black factory finish. See pic. This comes with the standard seat/cushion, the adjustable carbon fiber seat, race cage, and I will also throw in the Croder short crank option. Total cost of extas is over $1200. New frameset is $4600. Total cost is $5800. Asking $4200. I have all the original shipping materials, boxes, etc.

Ultimately, I will use the proceeds to purchase a s40 frameset. Thankfully, the components I purchased for the v20c build can transfer over. Would be happy to give a call to anyone interested and answer any questions.

Hi Jon,
DId you build it out, fit it to yourself and attempt to ride it to determine it was not good for you?
There are at least 4 different headrest options - plus many more custom ones that can be tried. I have have many people with severe back injuries and surgeries with much success.
Let me know if I can help.
I am a Cruzbike dealer - and may be able to work out a frameset trade with you. I would suggest you keep the croder cranks, and adj seat, and race cage for the S40 as they willl all work with it.
I also have a S30 which is between the S40 and V20 - which might work better for you.
Send me an email at cruzbikemuseum@gmail.com and I will see if we can work out something for you.
Kind Regards,
Larry Oslund

Hi Larry,

Thanks for your kind response. Given our plentiful snow this winter--no, I have not had it on the road. My decision was just based on a few hours of tweaking the seat and headrest configurations. I did quite well on the s40 I had. I just craved a bit more speed/efficiency, thus the v20c frameset. The best seat I ever had was the euromesh option on my Bacchetta CA 2.0. Probably had a recline of 30-35 degrees with just a bit of shoulder kick.

I can certainly understand how many bikers end up with so many horses in the barn! No single machine does it all and there are always compromises. So without going into to too much detail, I am quite sure an upgraded s40 will be the best compromise for me. In retrospect, I should have sought out someone in my neck of the woods and test rode the v20 first. Appreciate the encouragement, but come spring I want to be ready to roll and thought I could cut my losses a bit by parting with this in brand new condition.
