John, great forum software, better then Brol I think. It crops the photo's down to a nice size and you can still enlarge them when desired :lol:
Made a little progress on my Silvio today, added the Ultegra brake only roadie levers, and the Dura Ace barcons shifters, and will post them on my site and likely upload'm here to :idea:

Thanks Mark. I thought I had better get some pics up quickly as people are curious about the rack (I know I was). My LBS fitted it and had to bend the brackets a bit to get around the brakes, but it looks sweet now.
Thanks Jack. I do plan to go clipless soon yes, but I thought I'd start out with flats initially. I think the clipless path will make a big difference to me too. I plan to start commuting daily on this beast soon, but I really need to bring in the front triangle as it's too extended where you see it in the photos and this causes me to overstretch. It will all be good soon...

I bought a complete Veloce groupset specifically for the Silvio build, and the infinite finish looked ideal.
I agree. I already reduced all these photos down quite a bit before uploading, but the quality still looks OK zoomed in I think.

I will follow up there with my ongoing assessment of the bars, but my initial thoughts are that they are a big improvement over conventional bars on the Silvio (much like the WTB bars Brian fitted).

Hi Silvio fans,
In my ongoing search for Silvio commuting perfection, I just took the plunge and ordered a Radical Designs Allfa Medium Rack Bag:

It has a 20l capacity, weighs 520g, and includes two bottle holders. It is also (fairly) waterproof, and features foam padding to keep it in shape. Compared with my current single pannier solution, it's much lighter, and should improve both balance and aerodynamics (it might even act as a bit of a tail fairing). High visibility was another feature I was looking for, so I went for the yellow option as pictured. I just hope it fits...

Well, the Radical designs bag fits just about perfectly on my OMM rack, and here are the pictures to prove it:

I am using the Radical bag every day for my commute, and it's working just great. There is plenty of space, and I am getting good aero and good balance as I had hoped. The bag is also quiet, and retains its shape well. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.
It did take me a while to work out how best to attach the bag, but I now have it sorted as these next images show. Basically, the bag has two loops with clips that protrude from the bottom surface, one at the front, the other at the back. What I do is to first feed these down through the slots in the top of the Cold Springs rack. Next they go out, before looping round to connect together on the outside. The front loop also goes around the rear suspension, as one of the images shows, helping to stop the bag sliding backwards. The loops are pretty tight, and the bag is held very firmly in place using this arrangement. There is an additional loop on the front of the bag that is designed to go over the seat on some recumbents. I don't use this (you can see it tied up on the images in the previous post). Anyway, on with the pictures:

Nice rack!! Is that OMM the rear or front model? Is it the Sherpa, Red Rock or Cold Springs model? It looks like the rear Sherpa? I'd like to try it.

Here is my hydration solution. I took a 1 litre widemouthed lexan flask from Lifeventure:

This comes with alternative sized caps to fit various bottle and flask designs:

I am using the 63 mm one. In the two pictures, you see the flask with the smartube in place, first on its own and then in one of the bottle holders on my radical bag. Snugly fitted in the other bottle holder is an old powerbar container holding a spare tube, a puncture repair kit, and a Topeak Alien II tool kit.
