cost to convert

I bit the bullet and ordered my conversion kit on Monday. I have to admit, I am surprised by how excited I am to receive it. I decided to have a local bike shop near me assemble the kit. Since this is their first one, they are not sure how much they will charge me.

Has anyone else out there used a bike shop for their conversion? How much did it cost you? I know prices will differ in different areas, but I don't want to be completely surprised by the cost.
