Crankset

Greetings,

I wonder if anyone might have an opinion regarding this crankset: Shimano Tiagra 4603 175mm Triple 30/39/50t crankset.

I currently ride a 20" folding Dahon Vitesse P18 with a SRAM PG950 (11-28T) cluster, and can purchase the same wheel here in Malaysia for a decent price. I'll be in the US over Christmas and can purchase the crankset (it's not available here, and few triples are).

Should I anticipate any issues with this?

Thanks much.

Hi Chris,

175mm is almost long for a recumbent crankset, but if that's what you're used to, then that's probably not an issue (I have 170mm and no issues).

I don't see any other issues, assuming that the necessary bottom bracket fits into the conversion kit. Doug?

Cheers,

Should mount to the conversion kit fine...

175mm is a little long for me - I prefer 170mm, but as Charles said, it's all in what you're used to.

crank arm length

Thanks guys for the posts. I was able find the crankset with 170mm lengths. I too was concerned about 175, and had hoped to find 165-170 but without luck, until today.

Thanks again,

Chris
