Purchased in May 2011 & will continue riding until old age requires a recumbent trike . Rode 2500 miles last summer - just turned 62 & had triple bypass 8 years ago. This is my preferred cardio after torn ACL from soccer in 1998.
Purchased Ventisit cushion before available on Cruzbike site, had to provide company with seat measurements.
Straightened seat post to achieve a 40 degree angle that provides great comfort & view (feel a headrest is required for less angle).
32/42/53 triple crank was replaced with Shimano 30/42/52 after wiping out pulling into gravel driveway too fast the 1st month of ownership resulting in a bent crank arm.
Winter rebuild:
Replace worn bottom bracket with Shimano Square Taper Bottom Bracket UN55 68 - 113 mm BSA68.
Only ride pavement, so optimized gears around most frequently used 5-8 with 2nd crank ring: SRAM PG950 Bicycle Cassette (9-Speed) 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23.
MIcroSHIFT Alloy CNC-Machined Derailleur Pulleys.
116L KMC X9.99 Chain
Kindshock Kind Shock KS A5-RR1 Dual Air Rear Shock 125x20mm, ST1441
Chosen hub bearings still great! but does anyone know how to remove the free hub???
Cruzbikes rock!
