Cruzbike Silvio (1.0) for sale (best offer) - SOLD

Here’s a description that I’ve posted elsewhere (including for folks who don’t have familiarity with the bike):

The Cruzbike Silvio is a front wheel drive recumbent bike that is fully compatible with road bike components. The Silvio has dual suspension with a carbon fiber, elastomer dampened suspension system in the rear and an adjustable compressed air suspension fork with a carbon fiber chainstay suspension yoke in the front. The frame is aluminum 7005 T6 and integrates the seat shell into the frame for added strength and weight savings.

This Silvio has a Campagnolo Comp Triple/Centaur groupo including: 1) Campy Comp Triple Crankset (30-42-53) with 170mm cranks; 2) 115.5 mm English 68mm Centaur bottom bracket; 3) Campy Comp Triple front derailleur; 4) Campy Comp Triple (long cage) rear derailler; 5) Campy Centaur Ultra Shift Carbon 10s Ergopower brifters; 6) Campy Centaur-D SKELETON (Silver) brakes; 7) Fulcrum Racing 5 wheelset; 8) Continental tires; 9) WTB handlebar; 10) Campy Centaur UD-10sp (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 26. 29 gearing) cassette. The Silvio Frameset bottom seat pan states: CBSV-084.

The bike is in great condition, needs nothing, and is ready to ride! I’m only selling it because I have two of these bikes and can’t justify keeping one as a spare. The bike sold new in 2009 for $3,469.50. I’m posting it at $680 or best offer. Please don’t hesitate to make an offer or ask any questions. You’re welcome to write to me directly at dmost@yahoo.com.

If I didn't already have one in my Cruzbike Museum - I would buy yours. Does it have a specific Serial Number as an V1 - "on the seat"?

Hi Larry. Thanks for your thoughts! There seem to be some subtle variations within the the model (e.g., slight differences in frame for accessories near bottom bracket, slight differences in front derailleur attachment point options, presence of hollow channel in seat back under cushion). I only see these differences, as I have two in the garage. I don’t know if the variations would make it worth having two in the museum :).

Meanwhile, the serial number is CBSV-084 on a sticker on the seat base. My other Silvio doesn’t seem to have a serial number. It doesn’t have a hollow channel under the seat back, and it doesn’t have an “S” on the fork. I don’t know if this makes it older, but it’s what I would guess. I’d be happy to post photos of other aforementioned differences.

Hi Ryan. I don’t see your email, and I’m sorry if I missed it. I’ll try to message you here on the forum, and feel free to try to email me again. I’m in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Thanks,
David

Hello David,
Do you have the bike? If is yes, do you know the best way to send to Spain?
Thanks

Does this bike have a mount for disk breaks? Do I understand correctly that it is compatible with the underseat racks sold in the store? I may be interested in having it shipped to Boston, MA.
Thank you

Hi oski. Though a few folks have expressed interests, the bike is not yet sold. I don’t know anything about shipping to Spain. Maybe someone here knows about international shipping?

Thanks,
David

There don’t appear to be any mounts for disc brakes. I have a rear rack on my other Silvio, but I don’t know about underseat racks. Shipping is possible for sure in the US.

FedEx is probably the best bet. These days - expect it to be expensive and have to deal with customs, etc.
