isnt this libel and slander?

Well...if actionable, it would fall under "libel". Slander is spoken-word, libel is written or printed.

A good lawyer might force them to rephrase their comment...but to me, one man's "problem" is another's "solution"!

I'm not a lawyer, nor connected in any way with the legal system...but I'd send them a "cease and desist" letter post-haste.

Actionbent was a Cruzbike retailer for a short time.

Perhaps there should be a question as to what the "problem" was with the bikes they represented to customers as a dealer and sold, and to what degree they're obligated to solve that "problem". They may not have read their whole dealer agreement.

The principal actionable item is that the trademaked logo is visible in the photo.

As something of a betting person, I think you'll see that photo go away fairly soon.

They might also want to think about removing this photo as well. ;)

Somewhere, I have a picture of a MBB FWD recumbent that was at the Bike Expo. I was under the impression it was a TW Bent, or Actionbent, one of those.

I wrote Randy and he removed the link to that picture from his home page.

Now, what truthful things can you think of that differentiates a cruzbike FWD from a twisting chain type?

Cruzbike puts you up at eye height with car drivers.
Cruzbike lets you use all your body and so is ergonomically correct.
Cruzbike has a shorter chain, that is not made to twist.

I've drawn a line in the sand with my big toe.
I've scrawled the word, "Cruzbike" above the line in the sand,
labeling the line.

With a piece of driftwood, I've written on one side of the line, "Sane".
And the on the other side of the line, "Insane".

I'm just enjoying my Sofrider....

Soon, the incoming tide will erase those lines drawn in the sand.

I knew I saw a picture somewhere of a Cruzbike Clone.

Here it is, the model is Razor, I think.

The bottom bracket does not seem to be mounted on a telescopic front tube. This means they will loose the colapsing impact effect, and how do they adujst it for different riders?

I believe the seat slides, which changes the COG. Poorly thought out, IMHO. Even funnier yet was the caption of the picture wherever it was I found it. As I recall, the title was "Cruzbike Killer?".

That'll be the day...

The Sun site shows only the ER models, nothing else. Maybe the OP on Bike Forums was incorrect. Weird, I can't find anything about this bike anywhere.

Maybe JT flexed his muscle and squashed it.

I did nothing, but one look at it and I know its a slow piece of unridable crap. No need offering explanations as to why - let the sun designers worry about that. IMHO it was really just a test to see if dealers were interested, to check on what volume is in the segment.

I think this is it. There are many, many things wrong with this design, but it is pretty to the uneducated eye, isn't it?

I think Sun was testing the waters.
