Diamondback Donor advice

I have a 2007 diamondback coil ex that I would like to convert. Can anyone give me some advice on whether it is a suitable donor? I know I can't use the disc brakes. Here is a link to the specs:

Thanks,

Brakes?

Looks like the fork still has the bosses for a pair of V brakes. Can't see on the rear triangle, the disk rotor offset on the front wheel won't work in the rear, you'd need a second rear wheel to retain a rear disk brake.

Brakes

Yes I can put some V brakes on the front and I will get a new wheel, but other than that I should be OK?

Thanks in advance for your help I am excited to try it.

For the most part...

... that bike looks like it would work pretty well.

Take a look, if you will, at the location of the mount for the disc brake caliper on the front fork. If it interferes with the landing point for the upper section of the adapter bracket, it may have to be cut or ground off. I'd rather you know about this before buying hte kit, if modifying the fork is a concern for you. Is the caliper ISO or post mounted? I can't tell from the photo. (Bikepedia is a great resource for selecting donor bikes, by the way.)

Best,

Doug
