I own a Silvio 1.0. I bought it used. I've had no problems with carbon pieces. I had one failure at over 10K miles; rear leaf spring broke. When I replaced it, I left part of the old spring in place on the fork, cleaned up the broken edge with a file. It appeared to me that the circular fork spring 'mount' put stress on the spring at the center, so my adding the broken off piece sort of squares up the edge where the spring flexes, less of a point load. It only adds about 1/32" to the height and the machine screws are plenty long to attach the new spring. The rubber 'spring' on the rear may be next. It has a few holes manufactured in it to provide more compression distance, and while it still looks ok, I still expect some degradation over time.
