To Mr Graeme Obree

Hello Graeme,

On behalf of cruzbike riders from all parts of the world I'd like to applaud and encourage you in taking on the human speed challenge.

My company, and our customers, identify very clearly and strongly with the desire to bring innovation to cycling, since we are all about expanding exactly those horizons. Our bicycles are front wheel drive, moving bottom bracket designs and hold the woman's 12 hour record and other course records. They are different, to say the least, and they work extraordinarily well.

How can my company support you?

Let me convey my gratitude for your efforts in pushing the genuine envelope of human achievement. How fast can a person go, under his own power, and under his own ingenuity? It is one of the great human challenge, and Cruzbike Inc recognises and endorses it as such.

Best wishes,

John Tolhurst

Please forward my comment to Mr. Obree

Mr. Obree,

I personally am waiting for September to witness history unfold. I have followed you thus far on your journey to break the world speed record with an ultimate goal of hitting the 100 miles per hour mark; all of this done on a bike you designed and built in your kitchen. The ingenuity of repurposing materials speaks volumes of you as a creative innovator. I cannot help but imagine engineers and athletes from the world over working with technologically advanced programs and tools and here you are; building a machine by hand around what you know will work with you as the pilot.

Certainly anyone who follows the philosophy of Mr. Tolhurst and Dr. Parker can understand and appreciate the journey you are on. As a fellow cyclist, I know that riders like me think differently and with the team behind Cruzbike, their innovation pushes the envelope in allowing humans reach their full potential in the sport of cycling while providing a safer and more enjoyable experience. Unlike you, I do not have any plans to break a world record, but I will follow you all the way and will be waiting anxiously to hear the results. You are an inspiration to me indeed. I am just one person, but if there is anything I can do to support you, just ask.

I am looking forward to a sequel to the Flying Scotsman. Best of luck to you in September.

Sincerely,
