Extending Utility Post Up

Just an observation that you can cut a pvc pipe and place it inside the utility post to extend it higher. You can drill a hole in the pvc pipe and put a bolt through to prevent it from sliding down or put an industrial elastic band around the pvc pipe. Make sure to put enough pipe in to prevent it from popping out on a bump or secure the pipe from the bottom too. A wooden dowel (maybe a broom handle) would also work.

This would be good for mounting a light, camera, or radar device. I used this technique to mount a second rear light on my V20c higher than my first light. I have the utility post angled about the same as a seat post on a diamond frame bike. I did this because the back of my helmet was hitting my water bottles when I tried the utility post more vertical. The angle suits my light mounts.
