On my S1.5 I have 700C wheels with 28mm tires. Clearance to the fork crown, both front and rear, is just a few mm. I’d love to be able to fit something wider. As it is, I don’t feel comfortable when riding loaded on unpaved roads, the bike is all over the place. Using 650B rims would provide room for 40mm tires. But, how to solve the braking problem. I don’t think there are any rimbrakes with enough reach and I can’t see that it would be possible, in any easy way, to convert the bike to diskbrakes. Any bright ideas out there?
