I was trying to figure out how to create the appropriate directional pull for the FD to function.
When visiting my LBS, he suggested the following as there wasn't a braze-on at the bottom of the BB tube to attach a mini-pulley setup. He suggested using a tube from a cable housing, to provide an immobile housing for the FD cable in order to wrap it around the BB tube and then up to the FD.
