Freehub replacement and wheel manufacturer information needed

Hey all. I am in the process of rebuilding the components on my 6th generation S40 and could use some help. I am wanting to replace the original HG freehub with a Sram XDR but I understand that I need to match the current wheels with the new parts and I can't find an indication of the wheel manufacturer anywhere. I probably can figure it out by trial and error but would appreciate any advise from the collective wisdom of this group. Thanks!

I went down this particular rabbit hole a few years ago when trying to find an XDR freehub /driver for an ICE trike rear wheel with a Chosen hub. I was unable to find the proper info from the Chosen web site.

However if your present Shimano-compatible freehub has 3 pawls that look like the attached photo, you may have a shot.
After lots of wandering, I found a compatible freehub from two sources:

BikeInn.com : search for part "Bombtrack BT-CB-005 freehub body"
or https://flocycling.com/products/flo-free-hub-body and find the "2016-CURRENT-DISC Brake XDR" model

It looks like lots of vendors sell rebranded Chosen parts. I found that BikeINN.com sells Chosen-compatible parts under the BOMBTRACK name - go figure. They have lots of other variations there if the ones in the photo don't match.

Good luck!

Ray

Thanks very much for the information - rabbit holes everywhere I turn! I have kind of given up on finding an xdr freehub to fit and have decided to make the investment in new wheels with the xdr hub installed. While I thought that would be easy, it has proven challenging as well.

I have been trying to get an XDR hub for my Mavic CXR60C wheels but AFAIK they are not compatible. Mavic's new wheels with the Instadrive360 are compatible, which is from about 2016, but mine are not ID36.
