I’ve had the same problem. The Schrader threads are messed up?
As close as I can figure the thread into the shock is 7mm and 9 degrees pitch. Neither sae or metric wrench fit the head. That led me to the conclusion it’s some Chinese pos.
I believe the pump caused the problem and bought a Rock shock pump to replace it. It has a longer threaded head that will still grab the threads.
I’m going to get the Schrader die and see if I can straighten up the threads.
Cruzbike’s answer is $200 for a new shock. KS may be a source but I couldn’t get anywhere with that.
