Front wheel sizing

Hi,
New vendettanaut here, with my frame on order and other bits slowly arriving. My bike shop have sourced some wheels, and despite instructions I needed 130OLD and them confirming with the supplier, the driven wheel (front in the V's case) is 135 OLD. I really want discs, and 130OLD disc wheels are hard to come by.

Will this fit at all or do I need some different wheels?

It is a real squeeze to get a 135mm hub in the fork. I know that Doug has done it and I have done it as well to test disc brakes, but personally I do not recommend it and I ended up going back to calipers. If the fork was a 132.5 as some are making now that would be different.

I would go with calipers for now and wait for some proper 130mm disc ready wheels to come out. I believe that in 2015 there will be a lot more 130mm wheels come out with disc hubs, as it is becoming more popular to go with/request disc brakes, but hub manufacturers haven't gotten there yet.

Thank you, that's helpful

That's what I thought. I'm having trouble with the forum spam filter rejecting my messages, so hope this works.

130OLD wheels are available here in the UK, so I'll have to go back to the shop and see what we can do about changing it.

In talking with Jim Parker a week ago, he indicated that they where going to have 132.5mm fork for the Vendetta. I was not sure if it would be an option over the 130mm, or if it would be the only option. Maybe you can check on your order. You might get lucky and be getting the 132.5

We've sourced some 130

We've got some Novatec CXDs on order now, with a 130OLD. I don't think my fork will be 132.5, the bike shop also confirmed they couldn't used the 135s before looking for alternatives.
They're light, and disc compatible, and more expensive. So mostly good :)

The newer fork will not be an option and will only be on the next run, not the existing stock.

Even with the newer fork, the 135 option will be there but 130 will always be a better and easier fit.
