FS: Virtually New Original Carbon Fiber Race Case

Hey Cruzbike'rs,

I have one of the original carbon fiber Race Cases that was on my S40 for a maybe a thousand yards while initially Fred Flintstone'ing the bike around a parking lot. I removed it for fear I'd fall during the initial practicing and scratch it. It's been packed away in my garage since... It is absolutely pristine, except for one scratch on the convex crease on the lefthand side. This mark is all but invisible and I had to take half a dozen photos to get the reflection on the surface of the carbon fiber to show the scratch. This mark is highlighted with a yellow circle in the photo of the lefthand side of the case. I see no other marks at all, other than the odd fingerprint.

Here's a link to Cruzbike's writeup on the original CF Race Case:
https://cruzbike.com/products/carbon-fiber-race-case

The original Race Case looks extremely sleek and the exposed carbon fiber weave is just amazing. Bought for $285, looking to sell for $245 (or best offer). Now reduced to $220! I'm located in Raleigh, NC and will ship anywhere in the ConUS for $15. Also willing to ship internationally at cost of the shipping.

I also have a Cruzbike Sling Pack that has the same amount of use (less than a mile) and is also like new, other than being dusty from storage in my garage. I can include this Sling Pack with the Race Case for an additional $30 or sell separately for $35 + $5 shipping in the ConUS.

Cheers and safe riding!

-Jack

Hi Jack,

I am interested in the sling pack only. Would you sell that separately?

Thanks,

Michael

pretty cool, it's tempting

Hey Andrew, the original carbon Race Case is out of production and the blow molded plastic replacement is sold out, so I'm hoping someone will treat them-self to this spiffy carbon original for Christmas. If I throw in a candy cane and some Rainbow Brite stickers would that sweeten the deal enough? ;)

Michael, I'd hoped to sell the Sling Pack with the Race Case to minimize trips to the Post Office, but ... If you're in the ConUS then $35 + $5 shipping will get the Sling Pack delivered to your door.

Cheers,

-Jack

Hi Jack
I didn’t realize than what that are selling now is plastic. It would really look great on the back of my V20 but I probably should exercise restraint, but I will think on it.

Bumping up the like new original carbon race case and reducing the price to $195 + shipping until Christmas. After Christmas I'll likely bump it back up a bit and let it sit till it sells.

Last chance to have Santa (with help from the USPS) leave this spiffy carbon race case under your tree on Christmas morning. Reducing price to $185 + $15 shipping in the ConUS = $200 all in shipped to your door, as long as your door is in the "lower 48". Also happy to ship internationally at actual cost. Note, $185 for this "like new" race case is $100 off the original retail of $285. These things are pretty cool, but were not cheap ...

Happy holidays!

Yes way cool carbon fibre beauty and available to you unlike the current model that is sold out and would have cost you $260! Sweet deal!

Dreams of someday owning a V20/S30/S40/Silvio to be worthy of such carbon glory celebration.

I just got home from delivering the Race Case to a local forum member (great meeting you Jeffrey).

Obviously the Race Case is no longer available, but thanks to all for the interest.

I found someone claiming to have bought this race case from you and are using the same photos, which I thought seemed odd. Their name is Shona Osbey. Is that who bought it from you? Thanks

Hi David,

I've never heard of Shona Osbey and I didn't sell him my Race Case. Perhaps he bought it from the guy I sold it to? The fellow who purchased it from me, in person in Durham, NC, is named Jeffrey, though I don't recall his last name. He's on this forum and was even featured in a blog post or one of the rider's stories last year. A really impressive guy who holds some long distance records on Cruzbike's and had recovered from a pretty horrifying fall (from a freeway overpass?) while riding late at night (training for RAAM or something similarly impressive).

In any case, I didn't sell my case directly to Shona Osbey, though I can't say he didn't end up with it via a later transaction.

Cheers,

-Jack

Classy response @velocio.

@Jeffrey Ritter, is that you that purchased the 1st generation race case from velocio? Do you have further information on its current location?

not to say this is such a case, but i have heard of internet scams where people are watching for people looking for stuff and faking a sale.
