Here is a link to a modern rowing bike!
Look at the instructions for changing a rear wheel, and it makes any cruzbike drive wheel removal look like a dream!!

I am sure that lifting your back up off the rear seat back with every stroke is not efficient, BUT it is sold as an exercise machine on wheels!!
