Did a ride to the beach in med to heavy traffic, then on the beach path around 12 miles.Im running 1.25 Peformance city slicks at 60 lbs and the ride was pertty good.I even hit a few pot holes just to check. The bike handles great ,tracks straight goes right where its pointed.Havent put the spedo on yet but got up around the low 20s with the 52 in front. The small 14 .5 frame is a good fit for me easy on and off. I also like a lot of seat recline as it really stops butt pain on longer rides.I did get a little neck pain so might bring it up to 45 degrees where the Silvio is.It looks like I have another great bike again. This is the 2nd unsuspended bike. The first was a Downtube folder with 20 in wheels I got that airborne on some rough roads. The Giant rides much better with the 26 in wheels. Thanks John. Jack :D

Cool! I'm afraid my little Trek frame will be too short of wheelbase, but I'm going to build it, anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Hey Mark,

In the spirit of bike porn, show us your Trek frame!

Jack, another good one! I think the unsuspended conversions are underrated. I have run pressures up to 90psi on the red bike and the ride is quite acceptable.

Us tinkerers gotta stick together!

Time for a flood of innovative conversion bikes. As soon as I finish reorganizing the garage/development lab, I got sumthin' fer ya.

Have Fun,
