How many days/hours did it take for the 1200 km(750 mls)??
How does it compare to the Paris Brest Paris race?

actually 14000 m vertical ascent. You have an elapsed 90 hours to complete. I did it in 85 hrs 13 min. I was knocked off my bike on an inner city Melbourne cycleway by a guy on a fixie. 5 klm to go. Bugger. Still better than being killed or hitting kangaroos wombats or wild horses. Some of the participants did unfortunately. Crazy ride. 54C64182-74F8-4E63-9B81-CAB578607A99.jpeg

After you finished the race, how long did you sleep for???
How long before your body recovered?

I’ve been asleep ever since and still in recovery.

straight to a motel slept overnight drove home next day. I rode again within a few days. It was the hardest audax ride and toughest thing I’ve done cycling I would not do it again.

Some might say you must have been asleep to do such a hard ride, especially on a DF bike!!!
What was your back, bottom and wrists like after the ride???

Actually pretty good. I’d found a saddle by then. A selle smp lite which is really good fit for me. Nothing compared to cruzbike recumbent comfort of course. The df was a giant defy tour frame sl0 isp.

I had swollen fluid ankles and a little abrasion on inside one thigh. Good Knick’s help.

Well, I've started my training. I'm using the suggested training plan put out by bicycle network. They have 3 levels and in my current work situation I'm trying to keep up with the highest training intensity. 15 weeks to go. New climbing wheels ordered (80mm, lol). My registration is in, i even found accommodation with a bunch of guys from brisbane who were going. So this year it's fallen into place.

Also, I've started uploading to YouTube all my outdoor rides, last few didn't up load for various excuses(power cord not in, battery fell off ... ). Drop into Strava help me out with encouragement from time to time. Cheers!
