The part I don't get is; do people really think the rest of us don't remember the lies and games of the past? Please everyone that's still raising kids or influencing grandkids warn them off hyperbole and the dangers of having to later save face when you look stupid and over extend.

The problem with people like this is they are better at fooling themselves into believing they're right than others around them. What's the point of keeping track of what you say when no matter what you say is always right?

Dont give them credence and then it wont effect you. It only effects you if you compare yourself to others.

Just compare yourself to PBs... its proven that 50% of a great cyclist is down to genetics. A bike is a bike is a bike. Its the motor that makes the difference. If you're a big motor with little torque it would be better to become a little motor with big torque. That is the only thing that need be concerned with.

The "problem" I have with that site. There is this undercurrent of ignorance and dogma allowed to attack smart, knowledgable riders who either have left or were kicked out by ball-less admins kowtowing to the dumb asses. When I was trying to decide what bike to buy, I read like 100+hours over there and I could not understand the hate for Cruz bikes, it was obvious to a total neophyte like me. I still don't get it. Cruz does not make any extreme claims. Yet, they have offered a money back guarantee. And, then there are those result thingies.

I only started to get faster when I stopped listening to the crap posted over there.

It does not take a rocket scientist to know the CA2 is slower than either the V20 or M5. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to know a Jason type rider would be faster on a CA2 than me (or most of us) on a souped up V20 or M5. A smart rider on the V20 or M5 can get down to 0.160 CdA or lower on either. I have not ever seen any numbers suggesting below 0.185 CdA is possible on the CA2 or CA3. From there it is just pretty straight forward math.

holters are cool tech for data collection and understanding what a persons ticker is dong during the day.
sometimes what they record you may not want to know.

i friend of mine had a HA just after a ride lucky for him he was near a proper facility. but, while they were doing his cath it hit again. he was actually able to see his monitor go flat and the alarms go off. he said after they hit him with the paddles, his heart felt better than it had in years....

Or a smaller motor with the same torque. Or the same motor with larger torque. Any combination. Its a win-win. No where to go but for a ride.:D

I have been watching caleb Ewan in the Giro d'italia ... that rider flies on the sprint. 1400watts plus. As they say technique rules. Apparently he has a huge stem and a little bike and his nose almost touches the front tire

On the pro's I've just finished "Breaking the Chain" and am 1/2 way through "The Secret Race, Inside the hidden world of the Tour De France" Those boys are juiced even now. "Icarus" also detailed what went on at the Russian Olympics. I don't compare myself to those who are using designer drugs.

So far my only complaint with my CB is that in the two major crashes I've had, I've twisted both ankles (one per crash) and broken my leg.. (once) It's that I'm leading with my feet. But I keep saying "It could have been my head!" so once my leg finishes healing I plan to get back on the bike. But the design of the bike has a tendency to have your feet hit first, and then the handlebars trapped my leg once and instead of being able to separate myself from the beast as we slid down the road I was stuck.

Maybe a full fairing would make these crashes less painful.

Funny crashes you're having. I've been clear ejected out the side both times it's happened and watched the bike spark down the road in front of me. Far better than remembering to tuck and roll or trying to keep one's head from being first to anything.

If your avatar is accurate you really could use the new longer chain stay to get your feet higher; you can buy them and the new ones will work even on the silvios. I have the long stay on an older Silvio 2.0 and it works great and for taller people it will get you feet up higher so you can slide down the payment on your arse like the rest of us. :)

I have bought the new chainstay extender and installed it. I haven't adjusted the shift cable yet as I'm still waiting for my leg to heal. It's been a long 6 months without riding. I have managed to move to a spin class at my local "Y" so maybe in another month I'll be cleared for riding. I'm waiting to cut the cable to length so that I can fit the bike without worry about smacking my leg and re-injuring it. It's probably a 10 minute job. Meantime I did install a new rear rack, and moved the water bottle cages to under the seat.
