Jason and his ATP1 team finishing 1oth overall in last nights TTT is a huge event. This is the highest finish ever for a recumbent and is a great achievement. His Team has moved into the Pro level numbers. Well done Jason. A truly outstanding performance!

I'll send you a pin in case you need it for ego adjustment if that becomes a problem. :D

One would think Frappe would be cool down after top 10 Espresso, but I saw the results, you didn't really slow down much at all:
ATP1 Espresso 4.3w/kg 293w 43:51
ATP5 Latte 4.2w/kg 286w 47:03
!!!! still faster in the second race than the rest of us Cruzbikers. These are the fastest I could find:
@LarryOz with ATP6 48:41
Captain Falcon and @ccooper with Killer Bees 50:05
@benphyr with zSun-Magnetar 54:18
etc.

@RojoRacing were you coaching ATP5 or "only" providing experienced supplemental power. It seems pretty smokin' fast to me for a second race for you and with a Frappe team.

I let John have control of team 5 since ATP since he's created of the ATP group, I just lend them some smooth power. They asked me to pace them at 5.0 up the leg snappers and 4.5 up the long mid lap climb, the rest of the time I stay in second spot so gaps don't open when the lead ride drops back. I let John call the rotations but since he doesn't push the riders to add numbers to their in game name and he tries to call out their name instead of their number the rotation gets easily broken when we have to make a mid race adjustment for a tired or dropped rider. Normally the audio on any ATP team besides ATP1 has always been a shit shoot so all kinds of noise pollution. ATP1 only sounds good because only the leader talks and everyone just listens, most riders keep their mics muted the whole race. This week ATP1 tried the convince a dropping rider to keep going and once several people started talking everything went to shit for like 5 mins, so even the most experienced riders can mess it up. In zone 8 just stay in second as much as possible and if the leader starts slowly due to rotation glitches I just take over till they sort out who's next. On the second lap I had several 4-5 min pulls I believe because even though I paced on the climb, everyone was tired so I'd pull an extra minute or so till I got a volunteer to restart the rotation. Even though my average power is nearly the same, the second race feels so much easier. In zone 8 in tired legs I always feel in control whereas in zone 7 on fresh legs I'm on the back foot 20 mins in and doing whatever not to get dropped.

Here's what it looks like when our team goes through some rough spots. Lost ride 8 to connection issues, rider 3 to whining....I mean fitness and blobbed up with another time for far too long because of the chaos. On the second lap after the long climb, I asked to skip one rotation because I was on the limit, I didn't realize until just now when watching the relay that I pulled the team into the start of the climb so it was like taking a triple length pull. If you look when Nate starts getting dropped the first time he has the energy to complain but not to pedal harder o_O , then the second time he eased up while looking away from the screen and go sticky drafted behind a rider who surged and fail to catch our wheels. You have to keep your eye on the prize or else you can get shuffled out the back in the turn of a head. Even with all those mistakes we managed a top 10 which goes to show many other teams probably struggled even more.
