How to precisely adjust boom position

Guys, Guys, Guys, and red Gal, instead of using all that sticky tape stuff, how about a simple O ring (any colour, even red!), that can be reused indefinitely, just roll it to the new position, and no messy clean up required after ease tape use!
Just like used on air shocks to measure the max. stroke!

If you choose the O ring OD to be the same as the clamp, then the aero of the steerer tube will be increased!!!
Maybe even 1 kph speed increase at 30 kph!!!
Trust Me!!!

Man you guys crack me up. I just mark a line with a black Sharpie. A little rubbing alcohol will remove it if you need to change where the mark is.

And if you really want to go to town with your Sharpie...
