I think I want a V20....

I kept changing things on my Silvio but I seem to have stopped now. At least I think I have. Obviously I got more used to it, but I am certain I made it fit me better than before.

I will take a picture of the handlebar fairing tonight. It is just a prototype and looks pretty rough. I bought some .5 mm carbon fiber sheet to make a nicer permanent version. Changing to a smaller lower bar from the stock bar makes the bike less maneuverable in tight turns so I would not do that if you are new to the bike. You cannot make tight slow turns with both feet clipped in because a more standard road bike bar constrains knee motion. You can cut off most of the drops but the knees still hit in slow turns. You learn that quickly when you fall over at slow speeds just after your knee hits the bar. I am actually somewhat pinned to the seat with this handlebar. Does not bother me because I have developed the arm strength and muscle memory to get in and out without a hassle now. I can still sit up while riding slowly, just requires some abdominal isometrics. It is all excellent upper body exercise and that is part of what I like about this bike.

At the moment just coroplast with a bunch of tape, but it does seem to work as rough as it is. I will get the angle more flat (I taped it in a pitch up angle inadvertently) and clean it up in the final version in carbon sheet. My legs come up inside the brake grip area so this is not a good configuration for beginning riders because it inhibits freedom of the knee when starting and stopping. You have to ride one-leg during take-off and stopping.

Is the Carbon Fibre framed Pelso Brevet, more comfortable than the Rear Suspended Hurricane?

Your Local Council, who would be responsible for you potholed roads is obviously spending too much money on the shark protection of the Nudist Beach near you!

Hi slim no it is not. 32mm tyres next. It is comfy enough to be noticeable. The pelso pad makes some difference. When I fit the ventisit summer pad it detracts from the ride quality but it’s new and stiff.

Got about 1200 klm on Pelso Brevet so far. I will review it soon and compare it to my vendetta and hurricane. They are definitely in my personal configuration three separate identities.

Knew you would be onto the nudist colony with your puritanical south Australian purge it’s a miracle you need anything but crematoria.

Bill that’s most interesting what were the other two aero keepers you mentioned that worked for yourself

I can't help it if the TV had a big story on a shark attack of a guy at a Nudist beach!!!!!

On the review will it include times of the three bikes around the same coarse, with hill climb times included, and comfort ratings?

nudist colony shark attack guy. mental image not pretty. childhood memory of fishing for bluegill with worms LMOA

handlebar tail faring looks too much like a desk, which reminds me of work, which is what i am trying to forget about when riding.

have wondered about skinning from lower frame to the seat to the rear stays, but i am already getting tossed in cross winds.

rojo has the triangle and rear stays skinned i think

This first one is difficult to implement...1 - I raised my hips up about 2" by re-positioning the carbon seat to a more laid back position, up and forward. Net effect was a flatter seat and a reduction in frontal drag area. Did this with aluminum spacers at re-drilled hole positions in seat and some hard foam on spine at frame. Only recommended if you are willing to learn more recumbent balancing. It requires more balance learning in the seated-back condition but I do not notice anymore. You also have to readjust the position of the bottom bracket. 2 - the second thing (that also reduced frontal area) is to lower the headrest over time to the lowest position allowed by the carbon seat box and the curved head rest poles. This also reduces the exposed frontal area and in combination with a good TT helmet and a skinny aero bottle just behind the helmet (to act as a splitter plate) seems to work real well (but needs velcro strap to prevent diving board ejection at bumps in road). You can hear the turbulence come back if you put on a normal helmet and remove the aft aero bottle. I use two aero bottles under the seat which are fast but a hassle since I also need velcro straps at the bottle necks to prevent ejection at bumps in the road. I have some small aircraft vortex generators taped to the top of my helmet at the apex curve which has good theory to support it but who knows if it really helps.

This stuff makes the bike more of a hassle to ride than the stock bike so is not recommended unless you are a lazy nerd/engineer like me who only has so much horsepower to work with and would rather eat M&Ms than lose weight. The best go-fast is safety-minded hard-core training twice per week or whatever your body can recover fully from.

View attachment 8294 Bacchetta brain bag to tour I add banana racers .
However I would tour on Greenspeed gto or challenge hurricane as a preference
Sure would like to know how you mounted the brain bag to the V. I have about 5 different bags I have used on Bacchetta's but don't see how they can work on the V.

The picture shows the bag but no info on how it was attached.

I shaped some aluminium flat bar in the shape of a paddle. 6E5FBCE2-E740-433B-B8DF-C4E538319678.jpeg50B708AE-24E5-43E3-8DC4-C295F74BB90D.jpeg
