Ice Trikes Headrest

This is mainly aimed at http://cruzbike.com/users/drdrperry and http://cruzbike.com/users/kidneyboy regarding the Ice Trikes headrest.

I went ahead and ordered one of these. Initially, I made a mistake and ordered the mesh seat version, so got that replaced with the hard shell version which arrived yesterday. I was struck immediately by the fact that the rails on the hard seat version seemed shorter than the mesh seat version. I checked with the vendor and they are about 2" shorter. Given the low back on the Silvio, it's not clear that the headrest is going to reach my neck, and I'm average size, 5'10". Evidently combining the mesh seat headrest and the hard shell attachment would help a lot because of those extra 2 inches, but that means buying both.

Any light you can throw on this, from your experience, appreciated.

I'm a couple of inches shorter than you, but there appears to be a couple of inches left on the rails. Maybe it was dumb luck that it all fitted for me.

The only issue I had was curving the rails to fit, and I did this by putting a paperback book across my thigh, and bending with my hands. No lasting damage was done to thigh, book or hands. I'd taken it to a couple of LBSs and there was mumbling about vices, etc, but no progress / sensible suggestions.

I've attached an image of the Silvio it its current incarnation. I'll get some better photos later. I've fiddled with the handlebar set up too.

A little off the topic but I

A little off the topic but I must say I love the modifications by Dennis (drdrperry) on his Silvio. Headrest, chainring guard, stem extension and all! Wow! Looks so complete.
