Salutary article tragic for the family and society
Been hit by two caravans a truck and a head on with two other cyclists.Been lucky. Two of my friends not so lucky brain injury and trauma.
Terribly sad. life changing for everyone involved.
Cycling carries a risk most of us accept. Until infrastructure brings physical separation or the likely future technology advance brings safety improvements sadly incidents will inevitably occur.
Legislation can help too along with awareness programs.
I think every car should be a mobile phone free zone whilst travelling for example.
Living where I do I frankly lost my nerve on the road out. I found an off-road option but it leaves me badly missing and wanting to ride vendetta.
Risk management lowers risk and allows some options. Sunday early morning.
I guess as I have aged my risk factor has increased. Lol I've fallen off so many times in the dirt I've lost count. But at least I'm to blame for my offs.
No doubt my road days will come again. Love my cycling too much.
