Interesting Trainer

Stuck inside on a rainy day. I was brousing through the Actionbent site and came across this trainer. It's pretty generic, with no tension adjustment, but for the money it seems like it might be a pretty good deal. Not much different than rollers for an upright, I suppose.

baaah, why would you even train inside. It is booooring. Take a ride in the real world, wear more clothes if it is cold.

I'll ride in cold, I'll ride in wind, but I refuse to ride in rain if I don't have to. It's miserable and hard on your bike. But, you're right, riding inside sucks.

it rains here occasionally so the bike rusts, we have learned to live with it.

It rains here so infrequently, it's easy to wait for a better day.

Mark, I have a mini roller that is similar but uses a belt-driven fan for resistance. I used it with the Catrike for a while...but you're right, indoor training is boooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnnnggggg.

Wait out the rain. Go ride tomorrow...we're supposed to have thunderstorms and tornados.

I have one of those trainers got it with some recumbents I ordered a couple of years ago. So far I have only used it to take pictures but maybe I should test it? This time of year it snows so I don’t get so wet. Saturday it snowed here so I got exercise shuffling snow. Sunday was a beautiful day clear blue sky no wind -3°C went skiing the most beautiful winter day so far this year. I would have to use the trainer on my other recumbent the Sofrider has winter tires. Can you imagine the sound training with winter tires on this trainer?

I have my "trainer" setup in the garage in front of one of the many spare televisions we have and I get to watch many old movies from the 1.00 bin at Walmarts . Keeps me up to date and off the streets in the evening after all have finished their homework etc..... :geek:
