Is the scarab bag convenient to retrieve food while riding?

I am looking for a way to easily get to my nutrition on all day rides. Can I open and find things easily in the scarab bag while riding?

I miss the grub bag I had on the handlebars of my DF bike - it hits my knees on the CB.

Please add other suggestions!

The scarab bags are not easy to open while riding in my experience. Great bag though.

I would second that….not easy to open while riding. I started using a fanny pack worn across my abdomen.
It holds phone, wallet, and a few snacks to eat on the go.

Quick access to small items?

I've got a couple of different setups on my V20c and S40 for carrying things. I have a sling pack on both that I use for tools, tubes, etc., and also have small bags attached to the rear rails. The latter are big enough for e.g., jacket and gloves and I usually keep my phone there. For longer...

I used a Jandd bag attached the seat for a long time. I could easily operate the zipper and access stuff. Now I prefer clean lines and better aerodynamics by keeping things in a rear bag. Of course it means stopping now and then.

TIGR mini bike lock ?

Has anyone used the bike lock featured on the cruzbike site on an S40 with any regularity? I'm considering buying one but wonder how versatile it is to use in varying situations? Right now I still carry a kryptonite chain when I need a lock.

I have a large (5l) frame bag on each side of the seat, I can easily access food in it while riding.
I’ve recently added a smaller bag on the beam, I put extra tools in it but it could hold food as well and would be accessible while riding.
