Hello! I've got a friend who wants a Q45 but at 5'-0", isn't sure if she can make a Q45 fit her. Is there anyone in the Olympia, Washington, area that she could visit to take a look at one "in the flesh," as it were? Thanks!

I'm not quite in either category, but I am in Washington! I have a QX100 in Walla Walla if she ever has a chance to visit over this side of the state. The QX100 is an earlier version of the Q45 with a T50-style front triangle, which from my anecdotal experience, accommodates short legs more easily than the modern full boom. It's also up for sale if ever wanted - a Silvio has much better suspension bang for the buck, so after finding a Silvio of my own, the poor QX100 is now living a life of rest in the garage. I'd imagine there should be quite a few Washingtonians with actual Q45s though! I wish your friend all the best with finding a Cruzbike - it's more than worth the hassle! :]

I am in Sammamish and can show her my Q45. I am 6 ft though. Mine is decked out with AXS electronic shifting and Thor seat, so it's not representative of the stock configuration. She can also consider visiting Rose City Recumbent in Portland. They have all the models and can fit her.

I don't have a Q45, but I have a QX100, a Sofrider that I could have ridable in a few days, and will have a Quest ready to ride in the next week or two. I'm in Woodinville. I'm 5'6", so it would be a smaller adjustment in terms of fit.
It just occurred to me that, if the primary concern is fit, my Sofrider is mounted on an indoor trainer, so it could be tried out in terms of fit without any of the challenges of riding one for the first time.

I have a Q45 that I am selling (for $1800) and happen to live in Olympia, WA, and I would happy let your friend see if it fits her (whether she is interested in buying it or not). The literature says the Q45 fits riders approximately 5'1" to 6'4", so it seems like it might be close whether or not it would fit her.

I have a Q45 outfitted with the 24" wheels in Portland Oregon. 971-337-5685. That would do the trick for the fit. The main thing is being able to reach the ground at a stop.
