It's A Secret...FWD/MBB Makes You Stronger!

I went out on my Bacchetta Ti Aero 24 for the first time in a long time. I was in my 53 chainring almost the entire time. I am never in this gear constantly. It was very clear in my mind that the Silvio has made me stronger, more specifically, the FWD/MBB. Curious if anyone else has noticed this when switching between two different bikes.

its a secret and don't tell the BROL forum members...we might get crucified!!!

thanks for being such a great community here!

I can't speak about RWD

I can't speak about RWD recumbents because I never had one, but the Silvio makes me want to ride my bike more - and I think riding more is what makes us stronger.

I don't blame the BROLers for getting upset. Nobody wants to hear "my bike is better than your bike". Be gentle with them until they see the light. :)

That's Very Interesting

Since we don't have any other bikes, of any kind, for comparison... I'll take your word for it.
Thank you!

What you experienced makes good sense: it seems that what you're doing -switching between your FWD MBB and your fixed boom RWD recumbents- is a form of cross training.

In my case, I switch between my 18-degree and my 33-degree reclined seats.
This kind of accomplishes the same sort of cross-training effect, for me.

And BROL has become a very closed-minded, opinionated, toxic environment for Cruzbike, Cruzbikes, Cruzbike designers/marketers and riders in general.
The vocal minority spoils it for the quieter enthusiasts.

Your 'secret' is safe here!

I have had several RWD

I have had several RWD recumbents and still have one.
I have also experienced I can climb in a higher gear on my Vendetta than I can on my Phantom.

I haven't done any scientific test comparing the recumbents that I have ridden.
The practical experience for me is that the Vendetta is in it's own league climbing and on flat land compared to the other recumbents I have been on.

BROL members are now not allowed to "attack" Cruzbike riders that post a good experience they have experienced.
So it might be easier in the future to post there also for riders on this forum?
