Hey guys I don't mean for this to be a braggy post. Just wanted to share my extraordinary luck I had the other week finding an S40 at an incredible deal. I've been looking for months for a deal on an entry level cruzbike. Last week, this bike popped up on a google search, it was 25 miles from my brother's house in LA. He agreed to pick it up for me, he's getting it all boxed up and shipped to me in Atlanta. Other than a cracked chainstay clamp everything looks good. Can't wait to get the bike and start riding it!

You should just go ahead and purchase the new set of clamps and bolts. Both sides are likely compromised from really uneven tightening that caused the break. Also check that the handlebar clamps are evenly clamped. You should have the same small gap at each bolt between the plates.

EDIT: Make sure to fix that cable routing as well. Wrapped around the boom like that is likely to tighten when steering, maybe causing a crash.

Beyond jealous! I really want to pick up a spare S40 for days when my main S40 is in the shop, but I need to save up a bit for it. What an awesome deal!
It was just one of those things where I was at the right spot at the right time. You can search all craigslist sites in the US by using this Google search: "cruzbike site:craigslist.org"
