how about a new lamborghini montagna with a 17 inch frame? It looks like it fits all the requirements.

Hi Mari,
I have to say when I saw the bike name I thought that you were having "a lend" (having a little joke), but I see with some investigation that this is indeed a "real" bicycle! :?
So because I'm not an expert in the area of "kit conversions" I'll post these pictures and allow others to comment.

Looks like the seat pan would sit at an angle (possibly interfering with pedaling?)

Disclaimer: I'm also not a conversions expert. Good luck!

Look for a low top tube. A low top tube would be one that is about level with the tires. A compact frame, with a sloping top tube is not what we mean by a low top tube. Basically, you need to sit low enough so that you won't be bucked off under emergency braking.

Like Jack said, lower is more fun ... My Cruzbike Kit went on this NEXT TIARA bike from W/Mart.. I have had it on other frames since, but thinking of putting it back on the TIARA,( with rear electric hub motor) The top bar is about 23" when loaded.. If I didn't already have the kit, the REAL ticket would be a 451 Quest... It's snowing , can't ride, might as well tear something apart :) Bill

Hello Bill,

I was also considering a TIARA for a conversion candidate. What all did you have to do to get it to work. Quill adapter? How did fitting the 26" wheels work out? Anything else? It sure looks good in the picture.

Tom...

The mods if I remember right, were the quill, 26" fork, modified the rear brake to set the pads out to the rim.. The stem is made up of parts I had , but the kit stem worked just fine.. I am going to buy another TIARA , this time leaving the 24" wheels on, but with 24" 2.0 or 2.25 Big Apple tires ( much less hassle ). That's the beauty of the Crusbike kit ,you can build your self a new bike ,out of the old one.. Here is a pic of another change I had made at one time..Bill

Thanx Bill

Appreciate the timely response. You answered all my questions and was going to order a TIARA, but guess what......."Not Available at this time" so says their website. It sounds like they might have them again as there is an option to preorder. Thanx again.
