Leather water bag

Looks convenient, but I'm not sure I understand how the magnetic hose feature works. And is the Camelback easily removed from the leather bag? Please explain.

The grey/ white clips on the hose are part of a camelbak magnetic accessory, but I ditched the other side of the magnetic clasp and instead have two very strong magnets attached on the inside of the bag. After drinking I simply turn the hose back to the side of the bag and the hose clips find the magnets in the bag. I chose not to make this one removable, but previously I made one that I carried backpack style on my DF and it was removable, I didn't find it necessary to remove so decided to make this one inclosed.

Seriously now awesome job. Looks great . Wish I was half as handy.

I love water bladders but over time no matter seemingly how clean you are the bladder and hose grow nasties. Even just using water and no additional supplements Be mindful of that potential to upset your stomach with an algae blooming hoedown.

Yes I cleaned my old one regularly, but didn't use it for a while and even after cleaning it up again it never felt clean again. I should probably put in a zipper at the top to be able to change it someday

Yes I tried storing bladders with anhydrous packs and full of dishwashing diluted water. Nothing seemed to work. The cleaning kits were for me a fail. So I renew bladders every three years or less. Probably why I love getting free bidons.
