Longtime Cruzer checking in

Hi Everybody!

I've been Cruzing for a few years now. Started out with a conversion and went right on into a Silvio. I've logged a whole bunch of miles on my Silvio and still smiling!!

Glad to see some familiar faces still around. I'm anxious to see what the Silvio 2.0 is all about. I'm liking what I see in the 1.5 and would be interested in a retrofit frontend, if one becomes available.

I'm turning a brand new rider onto the benifits of Cruzbikes as I write this. I have him on my Sofrider right now, but I know he's got his eye on a Silvio. He has a good eye!

Looking forward to getting caught up on things in the Cruzbike world.

Hey Mark,
Nice to see you

Hey Mark,
Nice to see you pop up again. I've missed your enthusiasm, humour and wit! :D As you can see, we've been plugging away, trying to tweak and refine all our products. Hope you are liking what you see of the updates.

Long time no see, Mark B.!

John has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve nowadays.

The future's so bright, all you guys gotta wear shades!

Thanks for the warm welcome

Thanks for the warm welcome home!

I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing around here! The site looks great and I love what you've done with the Silvio. I'm looking for some better detail pics of the new front end; that looks pretty cool.

Julius came by and showed me the new chainstay extender. I like what I see there and I'm considering trying the 100mm extender on my own ride. I'm a little leery, though, thinking I'll be relearning to ride my bike. I see Jack thinks it really helps, so maybe I should give it a shot.

The Vendetta is absolutely gorgeous. I'm kicking myself, just now. Hard, too.

I hope to be spending a lot more time around here. I've missed all my Cruzer buddies!

Hiya, Mr. B !

If your body makes good power in a (more) closed position,
then the chain stay extender will make good sense for you.
If your body makes good power in a more open position,
then the chain stay extension may well slow you down when you are climbing...
yet make your body more aerodynamic.

When I installed my much taller (extended) chain stay, the only issue
I had with it was with the extra effort it took me to, "reach" the pedals.
After I'd acclimated, it felt -and still feels- absolutely normal.

As usual, my hot-rooded Cruzbike V1 is still more than a match for the local
diamond-frame bike riders... especially when they are riding on their
brake hoods!

Nice to see ya, MarK!

Hey Jack!
What about the bike

Hey Jack!

What about the bike path to the beach from Yorba Regional Park on the 30th?

Steve,

Given that I tend to pull myself forward to close the position during sprints and climbs, I think the extender would maybe help.

Good to see you still around and riding!

Jack,

Of course, the more the merrier! I don't know if Tom will want to slow down enough to ride with us, though!

I hope he does come out, though, it would be cool to get a close up look-see at a Vendetta. Maybe even fart on the seat cushion for him. Wait, did I type that out loud? My bad...

Hey Jack...

How did the ride turn out?

I used to go to California on business a lot, not so much these days.

Did some electronics testing in San Diego and Milpitas in the old days.

Cheers,

Doug

I never saw Jack, so not sure

I never saw Jack, so not sure if he went, or not. The ride was pretty good, if not a little fast. The bummer was, my friend that has been riding specifically to get ready for this ride, broke his foot at work a couple days before.

It was a beautiful day and saw a couple other bents out.

A Day Late and a Dollar Short

Sorry guys. I just read this thread. Guess I need to check in more often. I would have been there if I had known about about it. Next time. The Vendetta is great! It seems I ride it almost every day. I'm not shying away from the climbing as much as I used to. Though a cassette with a few more options may be needed for some of these hills. An 11x25 may need to be replaced w/ an 11x 28 or an 11x32. Let me know if y'all would like to try for another day. tr
