I'm thinking this will allow me to place the mount on the boom and then extend the arm with my Garmin Edge 1000 toward me. I've tried using both of the mounts that come with it and I am just not happy with the positioning they provide.
I will be adding this adapter so that I can mount my Garmin.

I'm also going to try a similar setup to mount my Fly12 just forward of my feet.
Ram mounts are super strong and stable.
