$2200 local pick-up in SF bay area or $2550 to ship the long bike plus spare seat snd large carbon tail box
A great deal for a RWD bent. I used to have one. so much harder for me to ride than the Vendetta - because of the chain & crank overlap with the front wheel. pretty much the same speed for me. So I got ride of it and get going on the Vendetta. That was 10 years ago or so.

I routed the chain to avoid chain/wheel overlap, after studying numerous photos of M5’s out there. It is generally recommended that a rider be 5’11” or taller to ride the M5. Here are other chain routes.

I am 6'1" with not so long legs, but CHR was a stretch for me. I guess Bram is pretty tall. :)
I've wanted an M5 ever since I started riding recumbents. I've had way too many conversations about trying to make it work with a 42" xseam. It would be an interesting conversation to have with the creator about it, considering it excludes a huge number of people in the recumbent world. Ah well.

I am 5'7" and had an M5CHR - I had to move the BB way in and run 150mm cranks (which I like anyway). I also had a special seat made which had an integrated tailbox and it was set at 11 degrees. Even with all that is was still only just as fast as my V20 - And with all that, the crank overlap and the wheel and the chain was just added aggravation. So I gave it up!

I'm definitely too lazy for all of that, plus by your own word, it's been tried! It's just always been on my recumbent bucket list, but I'm not willing to drop the money and then be disappointed and have to sell it. :D

I really appreciate the discussion of other designs. I have a Q45 na V20 but am always interested in other designs with their pros and cons. I see that Bacchetta has a new light carbon "stick bike coming out, it'll be interesting to hear the reviews.
