Make A Go Down into E Further??

Hello, folks. Here's a photo of the front of my Q45. Is there any way to get A to go down into E further?

I know that C1 can unscrew and then C can be moved out or in. I don't see what B1 and B2 do, other than keep the C1 clamp attached to the end of A, but surely you wouldn't need TWO nuts to do that.

I suspect that to get A to go further into E, I'm going to have to mess with D. It's a lot tighter than finger-tight, but maybe it doesn't unscrew there.

I see that there's marks on A where it inserts into E; I suspect that those marks are the range of the adjustment that possible there. Or maybe not....

Okay, thanks...W.

A is basically spacers over a tube (fork steerer tube), B1 and 2 clamp onto this tube with an allen bolt in the top cap to pre load the whole thing before tightening them.
To lower the bars you can usually put spacers above the clamp but on a cruzbike there isn't room for this so the only way is to remove the clamp and spacers and cut the steerer shorter.
C1 is the boom clamp.
I assume thats what you are after doing? Worth taking it to someone experienced in the job if your unsure.

You can remove the individual spacers or replace the single large spacer with individual spacers. I was playing with this and found that I could reduce the height to about 123 mm, but didn’t take it further until I got the seat angle taken care of. The next step is cutting the steerer tube which I know others have done. IMG_7557.jpeg

I thought you may have trouble getting the allen key in the top cap with spacers above the clamp but obviously not. Glad your sorted.
